Abundant life vs lots of Money

Jesus the Christ, reportedly said, “I have come that you might have life and that you may have it more abundantly.”  I would like to ask you to read the verse again, but perhaps a little slower this time around. And as you read I am asking you to please take notice if you find the mention of money or things. Of course, you will find that he did not and that there is not. There is not the slightest hint of money there. Yet, so many preachers and teachers, and people peddling their wares over the years have all used this verse to imply that the Master Teacher was talking about money.  But, he was not.

You and I know that Life carries no purse. Yet, it is the stuff by which everything is made, being uncontainable, lucid, unembellished, and of unmeasurable value.  It alone remains constant in an ever-changing, depreciating, world of form.

Money has the value-worth humanity ascribes it.  It has been said that money saves time, but many people spend their precious time trying to conserve it. And others are frustrated because the money they accumulated over time, is constantly being spent.  We find that the value of money fluctuates gets revised and changed with time. It is this exchangeable commodity of usefulness between peoples, and a means of creating and maintaining a balance in society.

Money has become a vehicle of exchange, a worldwide transportation for acquiring goods, service, and personal worth. And in some cases, money is the personal atlas by which a man may ignorantly map out for himself a world, organized around the amount of money he possesses. Eventually, he spends it all, but mostly he may leave it all.

Abundant life is limitless,  it is the birthright of each.  Abundant life is a state. Our conscious appreciation and gratitude for life in each breath is the opportunity life uses to realize abundance within, providing amazing experiences and expressions of life.

Festivals of Light in a Season of Darkness

 

November, December, Winter,  days are shorter, evenings darker, and depending on where you live, the weather is considerably colder too. Yet it is during this season that we most celebrate the rich luminosity of lights.  Image result for christmas lightFrom the oil lamps and candlelights of Diwali, fireworks on Bonfire night, the flickering glow of small tea lights hidden inside scary-faced pumpkins,  larger crackling fires of the Winter Solstice,  the nine-lights lampstands of Hanukkah, or the twinkling bulbs of Christmas, to the seven candles lit each day for the Sabba of Kwanzaa.

And so,  for any going through a restless dark night of the soul this winter, these festivals of lights are invitations to share in the warmth and glow of The Light and to brighten the path on the journey of Life.

At this juncture, let us call to mind that great Master Teacher who said, “I am the Light of the world.” It is this light that lights everyone at birth. And furthermore, we are told that we are the lights of a city set on a hill. We came here loaded with light. Therefore, comprehend your shine. And as we own our light, we shine a path for others to see and so find their way through the darkness.

The Call of Life

The call of life can be heard in each breath we take

But what really matters is how well we participate in its call.

Are we even aware of its coming and goings?

or are we simply wasting precious life moments in endless, mindless chatter and cares of this world?

But, if we would hush for a moment, and, become very still, and listen

Listen, without adding a story, we’d hear Life’s sweet call.

Just listen.

A time of Refreshing…

May is indeed a time of refreshing as it is a time of hope.

As we advance toward the half-year mark we stand on this one step that stands, as it were, between what has been, and what is possible.

So here we get to engage and participate the greatest opportunity of our lifetime, the opportunity to choose.

What will your choices be?  Here you are given the chance to step in and step up, to the helm of your destiny: your unfolding.

Who and what am I? This fundamental question from which answers might well determine the rest of the year, the rest of your life.

At the core, you are the stuff from which you were beautifully formed. Designed to prosper in health and strength, beauty and love. All you could ever wish for and more that these are already within you. This, my friend, is the truth of your beingness.

Image result for mayAnd so, realising the truth about your essence will inform your choices going forward.

The way ahead is clear, inviting you to enter thereon, in the knowing that all is well and better still that all shall be well.

May each of us for the all of us, echo the soul’s sweet refrain ‘and so it is!’

And so it is.

A PRAYER FOR 2018

When we think that we have been denied, abused, ill-treated, taken for granted, then, we either go low or set an intention to rise above.

When we go low we allow toxins to build up and multiply inside our system, clogging the arteries and shutting out the light, we lose our spark and illness ensue.

Whilst in our rising high, we invite the good endorphins to activate, sending messages across our systems to wake up, we become alert and highly motivated.

Image result for happy new year 2018 And so, this year, make an intention of keeping your vibrations high. Let nothing and  no one intimidate or shape your mode.

Steer your course to excel, to stay afloat, to stay awake.

Extend the wings of your imagination, the doorway to the heavenly realms of infinite possibilities. And step out into the open portal of self-forgiveness, and feel into the healing falls of divine grace and beauty, allowing it to bathe your senses.

Image result for happy new year 2018Create pockets of time within your day, each day, just to sit and appreciate the space that is you, taking in the awesome realisation that this is it. That this is all there really is, and here, surrender into this truth by letting go. Risk joy, it is possible. Risk rest, It is possible too.

Inhale deeply, and with your consciousness, of every fibre of your being, hold that breath in gratitude, for as long as you can, then, on your exhale feel yourself rise. Now say, “and so it is” – and so it is. Amen.

GET OUT OF THE NOISE

Magnificence is knocking at the door of your soul

Open up, open up wide and shut out the noise of your mind

Rip down walls so carefully erected around your heart these many years

The time is now. It’s ok. Open up and let magnificence in.

Underneath lay the eternal, invincible arms of love.

Who dares win…

The path of magnificence is open to all, Eligibility is our life’s breath. Daily making space within our cluttered minds to entertain silence is the fiercest exercise we must undertake.

This is no place for the fainthearted or disillusioned ego filled backbenchers, but for brave men and women, boys and girls. Eager to soar from the plains inhibited below, they soar high above the terrains of doubts or fears or guilt and pride.

Up and Up they rise Image result for brillianceand shine. Shining as the noonday sun on crystal clear, their magnificence beaming, streaming, every cloud dismissed. The mist too has taken wings and flown away, no more caught in the imaginative gaze. The gloom has passed and everything is never so clear.

Just a little further…..how far must I go you say? How high must I jump? Why must I wait? To these and more shout “Begone” and take the stand. Stand up for that which is yours by divine right. It is our birthright. Our legacy, yours, and mine.

Magnificence is the way, the light, and life. A truth that you must not deny. Go on then, take up thy cross, thy excuses no more to follow, but to the podium of faith, your crown of well-done awaits. Amen.
